The most wonderful book I have read this year. I have been struggling with anxiety and depression. Joel has taught me so much , I believe he has given me the tools, from God to get over my afflictions, with some work and pray and a positive attitude. Read this book if you're struggling in life. It was written for everyone.
What did I think about this book? I think this book was great. I learned so much from Pastor Olsteen. I learned that life doesn't have to be so heavy because we have God who walks alongside with us, constantly leading and guiding us. AND, the best part, we are never alone. I learned how to pray with this book (how to talk with God) and how to declare blessings over my family. I often felt my prayers were going out unanswered into some holding tank, but this book showed me where they were actually going and why. It wasn't that God wasn't answering my prayers, He was holding them until the right time. I learned so many things with this book, too many to mention. I found this book to be an easy read, yet so rich in information and examples. The thing that helped me the MOST was the little sample prayers such as "God, I thank you for your favor, your favor is causing..." Some people are not eloquent when addressing God. Joel tells us to remember God in the good times and the bad. However, another best part is he tells us where WE fit in, and that we are not alone, ever. After reading this book. My brother met him at the Houston Livestock and Rodeo, Joel was walking around with his two children and my brother went up to him and they both prayed together. My brother said, that Joel has a very approachable personality and is a very humble person with a great heart who only wants to help people find God. And to that Joel, I thank you for helping me find God. I do not attend Lakewood Church neither am I Christian but I still found God. Now when I look back, I think the message was for me. I finally understand and my journey continues. Thank you.
Joel is not only a great speaker, but he's also a great WRITER (yes, he writes his own books). His message is just as inspiring in print as it is in person. Love this guy!
I have read all of Joel's book and this one to me is the very best. I liked it so much, I sent it to my friends and we started a chain and when one was done they would send it to someone they felt needed to read it. I even purchased it as Christmas presents. Well, I said it was the best book ever. It revived me. I was at a very low in my life and this book totally gave me hope but the drive to get moving and the belief to know that things would work out thru God's plan. My attitude changed and though part of the situation is the same, my mindset is where it should be and this book started me on a road I should have been walking on for years. EVERYONE should read this book.
This product is spiritual and uplifting. What makes it even better, is that it can be used year after year. My mistake was that I kept ripping the pages off as the days passed and threw them away. I should have kept them and start every year on day one. It's biblically based, as a result, every time you read it, you will view it (receive it) in your spirit, differently because it will fill your needs on that day. Why do I say that? Because the Word of God is always present. I'm ordering a 2014 and keeping it for ever. Although I will give my age away, there was an old commercial that said "Try it, you'll like it!" That's part of what I say to you today, try it, you'll LOVE it!
Helped change my life
. I am sober for over a year.. this helped me. Still listen to it. I have bad depression and anxiety. Things get to me to easy.. this helps...sometimes.. its not overnight we can change.. its a life time. In witch if your willing
. God will help u... no matter how hard you think it will be.. you are the first that has to be willing to change. Once you understsnd that.. doors will start to open.
I originally purchased this book for myself and have been reading it over a period of time. I sent it to a relative for a gift hoping that he would read it as well. I have other family members who also find positive hope and peace in their lives by following the messages from Joel Osteen. There are a lot of good points in this book on working on yourself rather than being negative and taking it out on others. The Daily Readings that go with this book are also inspirational, thoughtful and promote a daily interaction with God through reading the Bible.

I recommend this book highly for bringing out the best in yourself and bringing some peace to your daily existence. I recommend the companion the Daily Readings as well.
